Our 2-Teacher Literacy Model puts twice the expertise in every reading lesson. One teacher leads instruction while the second moves between small groups, catching any problems that arise before they turn into roadblocks. If a student struggles to distinguish between ‘b’ and ‘d’ at the start of the school year, they have two teachers to spot the confusion and help them practice the fix. Our staff is there to help them celebrate the breakthrough when it inevitably happens, and by December, they’re joyfully reading with ease. That’s the ACE Prep difference!
Collaborating to Help Every Student Meet Their Potential
It can be difficult for one teacher to keep up with dozens of students all at their own reading levels. Our co-teaching approach means every scholar receives the tailored support they deserve. Together, teachers can assess scholars, discover unique strengths and needs, and then plan to support each scholar at their level and pace.
The real magic happens in those everyday classroom moments. While Teacher A practices writing a vowel sound with the whole group, Teacher B might notice a student’s pencil grip affecting their letter formation. Fixing this right away earns a confidence boost from scholars and appreciation from parents.
Our extended school day provides 195 minutes of daily literacy instruction from kindergarten through sixth grade. Students rotate through small groups, each receiving quality time with a dedicated literacy teacher who adapts instruction to meet that specific group’s needs. The co-teaching structure means no transition time gets wasted. When one group finishes phonics work, the second teacher seamlessly guides them into comprehension activities.

Our kindergarten literacy program reveals each child’s unique reading potential. Some scholars discover a passion for storytelling, while others develop the persistence to tackle challenging texts. Our 2-Teacher Model creates a safe space for trying new words. With smaller groups and constant support, scholars try challenging words, ask questions freely, and develop the confidence that transforms hesitant readers into book lovers while pushing advanced readers toward more complex texts.
