September 1-30 – School Tours, ACE Prep, hours vary

We are opening our doors for families and community members to learn about our school culture and what our amazing facility has to offer our scholars. Please schedule your tour with Meisha Wide at mwide@aceprepacademy.org

September 3 – Family Fun Day, ACE Prep, 10:00am-2:00pm

Come for fun, tour our school, and enroll your kindergartener or First grade child today! Kids activities, food, fire truck & train! Musical “petting zoo” provided by Girls Rock Indy! Free community event!

September 6 – Paws to Read, College Library Branch, 6:00-8:00pm

School-aged children are invited to improve their reading skills and confidence by reading aloud to a registered therapy dog. Register by calling 275-4320.

September 15 – PREP Parent Meeting, ACE Prep, 6:00-7:00pm

PREP is a parent teacher organization focused on creating opportunities for engagement and community involvement for ACE Prep scholars and their families. PREP parents will plan special events for the school. For example: Grandparents Day, Book Fair, University Night, Field Day. PREP will also coordinate a winter service project for scholars and families to participate in.

September 16 – Pastries with Parents, ACE Prep, 7:30-8:30am

Join our Founder and Head of School, Anna Shults for pastries, coffee and conversation. This is a special opportunity for parents, caregivers and prospective families to come and meet Ms Shults. Contact Mrs Wide at mwide@aceprepacademy.org

September 19 – Family Game Night, College Library Branch, 6:00-7:45pm

Hosted by College Library Branch. Game lovers of all ages are invited to try a collection of classic and modern board, card and dice games. Rediscover such favorites as Chess, Monopoly or Uno, or try something new such as Dominion, Qwirkle or Hoot Owl Hoot. Attendees can bring their own favorite game to share. Look for ACE Prep to get free ACE Prep school swag and information about our school.

September 22 – Flava Fresh XIII, Glendale Library Branch, During Library Hours

Celebrate the opening of this exhibit showcasing the works of over 50 local and regional visual artists during this annual juried exhibition presentation series of contemporary fine art. The exhibit is coordinated by local artist D. DelReverda-Jennings. Open until Saturday, January 21st 2017.

September 22 – Midtown Education Summit, The Children’s Museum, 6:00-8:00pm

This annual event is a comprehensive effort to bring together Midtown community members with representatives of the many schools that serve the families and children of our neighborhoods. The Summit provides school leaders the opportunity to showcase the wonderful programs, faculty, and vision that they have for their school and the community. September 24 – Community Health and Wellness Fair, Ivy Tech Community College, 10:00am-12:00pm

The Recorder Media Group recognizes the importance of education when it comes to positively impacting the health and wellness of Indianapolis’ minority community. We will be an exhibitor at this year’s Community Health and Wellness Fair, an event brought to the community by The Recorder Media Group.

September 28 – Dinosaurs!, Glendale Library Branch, 10:30am

Preschoolers ages 3 – 6 are invited to join Silly Safaris to learn about dinosaurs. They’ll meet modern day reptiles and compare them with the reptiles of the past. Look for ACE Prep to get free ACE Prep school swag and information about our school.
